Actian is seeking a highly technical Tech Lead to guide a small feature team of 3–4 engineers. You will write exceptional code, architect scalable backend systems, and lead by example, shaping product outcomes with a strong product sense.

You will own the technical execution using a modern SaaS stack (Scala, Python, TypeScript) and champion AI coding agents to boost velocity without compromising quality. Remote or hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• Deep backend engineering experience in cloud-native SaaS.
• Production experience with Scala; Python or TypeScript is a plus.
• Must-have: experience using AI coding agents to improve velocity.
• Strong English communication and builder mindset.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on coding and execution on complex backend tasks.
• Architect robust backend systems and guide the team by example.
• Mentor 3–4 engineers through code reviews and pairing.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to refine features.
• Ensure cloud scalability and production health of features.
