Jollyes Pets in Ilkeston is seeking a hands-on Retail Store Manager to lead daily operations, coach the team, manage deliveries, and uphold the high standards that define our customer experience. You will drive KPIs, develop a strong sales culture on the shop floor, ensure excellent pet care, deliver outstanding service, and recruit and develop staff.

The role is 40 hours a week, with some evenings and weekend cover.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for pets and people.
• Previous retail store management experience.
• Commercially confident on the shop floor.
• Clear communication of objectives and building high-performing teams.
• Track record of developing business performance and exceeding KPIs.
• Commercially aware, able to manage P&L.
• Own transport with a UK driving licence.
• Full time, permanent role: 40 hours/week, 5 days out of 7 (evenings/weekend cover).

Responsabilités

• Lead by example to create a positive culture and working environment.
• Full responsibility for running a successful store: KPIs, standards, customer service and financials.
• Build a strong in-store sales culture with coaching and add-on sales.
• Ensure high standards of pet care and welfare.
• Deliver exceptional customer service with product and pet knowledge.
• Recruit, train and develop the team; manage performance.
• Communicate clear business objectives to the team.
• Be hands-on on the shop floor: deliveries, floor activity and driving performance.
• Stay physically active; adapt to out-of-hours store visits if needed.
