Job summary

Cathedral Appointments is recruiting on behalf of a growing managed IT services provider in Macclesfield for an IT Support Technician. You will provide 1st and 2nd line support across hardware, software and client environments, resolving issues, building devices and assisting with AD/Entra ID and cloud deployments.

The role combines remote, office and on-site work in a hybrid arrangement, requires a UK driving licence and MS 365 knowledge, and offers a £30,000–£34,000 salary with benefits such

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (essential) and Microsoft Windows.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
• Microsoft certification or at least 2 years of IT support experience.
• Desirable: experience with Azure, Intune or Autopilot, RMM/PSA tools or IT-related qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line support for hardware, software and peripherals, remotely and on client sites.
• Manage helpdesk tickets through to resolution, keeping users informed.
• Handle joiner and leaver processes for client organisations.
• Build and deploy Windows, Apple and mobile devices.
• Assist with administration of Active Directory and Entra ID, servers and network infrastructure.
• Support IT projects and cloud technology deployments.
