Job summary

Haberdashers’ Elstree Schools are seeking an enthusiastic apprentice to join the IT Services team. You will work toward a Level 3 IT Solutions Technician qualification, gaining hands-on experience in first-line support, equipment maintenance and project assistance across both schools.

You’ll respond to support requests, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, set up equipment, train staff, manage accounts and assist with system migrations, while following safeguarding policies and data protection

Qualifications

Essential - GCSE - English - 4 (C)
Essential - GCSE - Maths - 4 (C)
Desired - GCSE - Computer Science/IT - 4 (C)
Desired - A Level - Computer Science/IT - C
Desired - BTEC - Computer Science/IT - Pass

Responsibilities

Respond to IT support requests from staff and students via helpdesk, email or in person
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with hardware, software and network connectivity
Install, configure and test IT equipment including PCs, printers and projectors
Support induction of new staff with IT systems and processes
Assist in managing user accounts, permissions and email systems
Participate in IT improvement projects such as upgrades and deployments
Follow data protection and safeguarding policies at all times
