Job summary

JD Gyms Swindon is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support daily operations and work with the General Manager to maintain high standards and deliver exceptional member experiences.

You will lead and develop a team of Fitness Coaches and General Assistants, drive membership and commercial targets, ensure safety checks, cleanliness, and adherence to brand standards, and coach colleagues to deliver outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing colleagues in leisure, fitness, hospitality or customer-focused environments.
• Strong commitment to delivering excellent member service.
• Qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
• Experience driving membership growth and achieving targets.
• Experience recruiting and managing a successful team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Fitness Coaches and General Assistants.
• Hold regular team meetings to aid development.
• Support achievement of membership, revenue and commercial targets.
• Drive secondary spending revenue and maintain high cleanliness.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure building safety.
• Deliver outstanding member service and uphold JD Gyms brand standards.
