Job summary

JD Gyms in the United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the day-to-day operation of a busy club with a focus on safety, service and cleanliness.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead a team of Fitness Coaches and General Assistants, drive membership targets, and ensure exceptional member experiences across all areas of the club. A Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification is required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in leisure, fitness, hospitality or customer-focused environments.
• Strong commitment to delivering excellent member service.
• Ability to coach and develop staff across operational areas.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health & Safety policies and procedures are followed.
• Manage a team of Fitness Coaches and General Assistants to cover daily operations.
• Drive membership growth and commercial targets.
• Maintain JD Gyms Brand Standards and high cleanliness levels.
• Lead regular team meetings and staff development.
• Deliver outstanding member experiences through professional interactions.
