Seaport Entertainment is seeking a Host for The Lawn Club in Manchester. You will warmly greet guests, manage the waitlist, and seat guests efficiently while coordinating with the service team to ensure timely seating and a high-quality dining experience.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Compensation is $18–$20 per hour, with a robust benefits package described by the employer.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of host experience in a fine dining or high-volume setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage waitlists effectively.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival, manage the waitlist, and escort to tables with a positive first impression.
• Handle reservations and bookings to optimize turnover and guest preferences.
• Coordinate seating with staff and address special requests or considerations.
• Inform guests about the menu and restaurant policies for a seamless dining experience.
• Keep the host station and waiting area tidy and attractive.
• Address guest concerns professionally and seek management help when needed.
• Handle multiple tasks like answering phones and coordinating with servers while staying composed.
• Promote events and menu items to boost sales and guest enjoyment.
