Seaport Entertainment is seeking a Server Assistant to be based at Lawn Club. Reporting to the General Manager, the Server Assistant will take orders, maintain the dining room, serve beverages, and help guests make informed dining choices to deliver an exceptional experience.

This is a seasonal position with duties across service, bar/ kitchen coordination, and guest interaction. A positive, guest-first attitude and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Server experience in a fine dining, high volume setting.
• Excellent hospitality and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.

About The Brand

Lawn Club is an exciting competitive socializing destination in the Seaport, positioning itself as “New York’s Leisure Headquarters.” The massive 25,000 square foot venue features indoor and outdoor rentable gaming lawns, amazing cocktails, and a streamlined menu of tasty bites. Each rentable lawn includes popular lawn games, big-screen TVs, courtside F&B service, and dedicated “Lawnci erges.” Lawn Club caters to a variety of audiences, from twenty-somethings to corporate event planners.

About the Role

Seaport Entertainment is looking for a Server Assistant to be based in Lawn Club. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Server is responsible for taking orders, maintaining the dining room, serving beverages, and helping the guest make informed decisions. In this role servers are expected to use their skills, knowledge, and personality to provide a dining experience that exceeds all expectations.

What You Will Do

• Deliver a high-quality food and beverage dining experience to all guests.
• Interact with guests, take orders, serve food and beverage, and process transactions.
• Maintain dining ambiance with an enthusiastic and graceful attitude.
• Recommend menu offerings and provide daily specials when appropriate to create a quality guest experience.
• Communicate orders to bar and kitchen by recording guest choices, dietary needs and special requests.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of all menu items, as well as daily specials. All members of the server team are responsible for being able to effectively describe each dish as well as the ingredients, preparation/techniques, purveyors and allergens.
• Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant both before, during and after service.
• Maintain proper loss prevention standards including cash handling procedures, tip handling, cash deposits; Count the cash register at the start and close of each shift.
• Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Complete all assigned side work relevant to guest interactive service, in compliance with 80/20/30 rules.
• Consistently report to scheduled shifts on time and ready to work in proper uniform.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as per business need.

About You

• 2+ years Server experience in a fine dining, high volume setting.
• Personable demeanor, instinctive nature, and ability to deliver world-class hospitality.
• Ability to think quickly and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong aptitude for clear and compelling communication, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Demonstrate ability to efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks, ensuring prompt service to guests while maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to guest needs.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 – 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on a regular (or occasional basis).
• Ability to stand for prolong periods of time.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is paid a minimum wage of $17 an hour and a tip credit is taken when applicable.
