Job summary

Hilton York, a 131-bedroom hotel in the heart of York, is seeking a friendly Receptionist to provide exceptional guest experiences. You’ll deliver a warm welcome, manage efficient check-in/check-out, and offer local knowledge to help guests enjoy their stay.

As part of Hilton, you’ll promote services, handle payments, and ensure guest satisfaction with proactive, courteous service. This role is based on-site at Hilton York, with the support of a global hospitality brand and career growth

Responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival and complete check-in, verify details, assign rooms, issue keys.
• Process guest departures by verifying charges, handling payments, issuing receipts, and using the point-of-sale system.
• Demonstrate knowledge of hotel offerings, room types, rates, promotions, and local area information to assist with guest inquiries.
• Use up-selling techniques to recommend hotel amenities and maximize room and service revenue.
• Respond to guest requests, resolve concerns with care and urgency, and effectively manage messages and communications.
