Job summary

JD Gyms Milton Keynes is seeking a Senior General Manager to lead daily operations, deliver an exceptional member experience and drive growth across the club. You will manage a team, uphold brand standards and ensure health and safety compliance while delivering strong membership sales.

The role requires an inspirational leader with commercial acumen, a track record of operating a high-quality leisure facility, and the ability to motivate and develop a growing team.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of management in a leisure-related industry.
• Strong customer-service orientation and inspirational leadership.
• Proven experience in driving sales and coordinating local marketing.
• Experience as General Manager or senior operations manager in a leisure facility.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and company procedures.
• Maintain JD Gyms Brand Standard.
• Conduct regular safety checks on premises and equipment.
• Recruit and manage Fitness Coaches and General Assistants to cover daily operations.
• Hold regular team meetings to develop staff and communicate updates.
• Achieve sales and membership targets and drive secondary spending.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the gym.
• Oversee banking processes to minimise wastage and variance.
• Ensure uniform standards across staff and facilities.
• Deliver outstanding member service and ambassadorial presence for JD Gyms.
