Job summary

Ripon Group is seeking a proactive Groundcare Sales specialist to maximise showroom conversions and deliver outstanding customer service. You will own the customer journey from enquiry to handover, coordinating with workshop and parts teams to ensure a seamless experience.

The role involves demonstrating machines, advising on parts and aftersales, and supporting promotions and local campaigns while maintaining showroom standards and compliant health and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer-facing sales within Groundcare or agricultural equipment is desirable.
• Confident, consultative sales approach with the ability to prospect, follow up and close.
• Mechanical awareness and ability to learn product specifications, applications and parts identification systems.
• Strong customer service, telephone, written communication and numeracy skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365, CRM, dealer management, catalogue and stock systems.

Responsibilities

• Generate and convert Groundcare sales opportunities from showroom, phone, digital and local prospecting.
• Understand customer needs and recommend suitable machines, attachments, and support packages.
• Prepare quotations and maintain records in the company system.
• Conduct product demonstrations and explain operation, maintenance and ownership benefits.
• Coordinate showroom and products, campaigns and events and progress leads to orders.
• Explain finance, warranty, servicing, and parts propositions.
• Provide parts and telephone support, identifying correct parts using catalogues and machine information.
• Maintain showroom, sales area, parts counter and demonstration environment.
• Adhere to health and safety, data protection and cash handling procedures.
