Job summary

Sainsbury’s Group is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring groceries directly to customers’ doors with energy and care. You will represent the brand with a friendly, professional attitude while delivering in a timely and secure manner across diverse streets and locations.

Role requires a full UK/EU driving licence with minimal points, and compliance with UK driving rules. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be able to lift up to 15kg as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 and hold a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points
• Must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury's at every doorstep, delivering with a friendly and helpful service
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition
• Carry out safety and maintenance checks to ensure van roadworthiness and secure loads
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varying locations and conditions
• Move shopping containers up to 15kg and deliver to customer premises
• Communicate clearly with customers, handling delays and queries
• Be flexible to work across the store and learn new delivery processes
• Support inclusive culture and adhere to safety and road standards
