Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring groceries to customers’ doors with energy, warmth and care. You’ll be the friendly face of the brand, handling deliveries in a safe, timely manner and supporting customers throughout the service experience.

Your role includes driving a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, completing vehicle checks, and staying compliant with route plans and safety standards while maintaining excellent customer communication.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years old with a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months and no more than 6 points.
• Must have Right to Work in the UK and be able to pass online driving risk assessments and on-joining driving tests.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury’s at every doorstep, delivering customer orders with care.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van and ensure on-time delivery in good condition.
• Carry out van checks, load security, and route adherence before departure.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varying conditions.
• Move containers up to 15kg and assist customers at delivery locations.
• Communicate delays or changes to customers and support store operations when needed.
