Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring online orders to customers’ doorsteps with energy, care, and a focus on service. You’ll be the friendly face delivering groceries in a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, upholding safety and accuracy while representing the brand on every doorstep.

Based in the UK, you’ll drive, manage deliveries and sometimes assist in-store tasks, adapting to routes and customer needs, and you’ll be supported by familiar benefits as part of a large retailer.

Qualifications

• Over 18 and holds a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points
• You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK
• Online driving risk assessment during the interview process (and a driving assessment after joining)

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury’s at customers’ doorsteps with a friendly, helpful delivery service
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition
• Check van roadworthiness, cleanliness and that customers’ shopping is secure before departure
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varying traffic, weather and road conditions
• Assist across the store when not on deliveries
