Job summary

Sainsbury's in the United Kingdom is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver. You will deliver groceries to customers’ doorsteps using a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, providing a friendly, reliable service every day.

As part of the delivery team, you’ll follow planned routes, perform basic vehicle checks, and communicate any delays or changes to customers. You may also help across the store when not out delivering, contributing to a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Over 18 years old with a full UK/EU driving licence held for at least 12 months and no more than 6 points.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Ability to lift and move shopping containers up to 15kg.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury's at customers' doorsteps, delivering with warmth and care.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition.
• Perform basic van checks to ensure roadworthiness and cleanliness.
• Follow planned routes and adapt to traffic and weather conditions.
• Move containers weighing up to 15kg and deliver to a variety of properties.
• Communicate clearly with customers about delays or changes to orders.
• When not delivering, provide support across the store as needed.
