Job summary

Hitachi Energy in the United Kingdom is seeking a Service Sales Specialist to join the Grid Automation Service Sales Team. You will drive service tenders from initial request to contract closing and handover to operations, building long-term customer relationships and delivering value-added service solutions.

The role emphasizes growing the installed base, identifying opportunities across the Service portfolio, and ensuring customer satisfaction through technical and commercial excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or technical disciplines.
• Proven sales experience in power systems/services.
• Experience with electric substation equipment (IED/RTU/SCADA) preferred.
• Familiarity with Operations & Maintenance of substation equipment.
• Willingness to travel to meet customers.

Responsibilities

• Implement the service sales strategy and growth plans, engaging with the installed base to promote upgrades and value-added solutions.
• Use installed base data to identify and develop sales opportunities for Service products and solutions across the Hitachi Energy Service portfolio.
• Conduct sales calls, perform customer facility walk-throughs, generate sales leads, and develop new market opportunities based on market trends.
• Establish long-term customer relationships, understand requirements/regulations, demonstrate technical knowledge, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Sell the service portfolio, monitor proposals/tenders, prepare service offerings, and manage the administrative sales process.
• Act as a marketer and salesperson during marketing activities, translating customer needs into service offerings.
• Contribute to risk assessments, register information into SFDC, ensure safety and cost-effective solutions.
• Provide technical direction for service sales training and support management with market insights.
