Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Service Sales Specialist to join our Grid Automation Service Sales Team in the UK. You will drive service tenders from initial inquiry to contract closure and handover to operations, developing account plans to grow the installed base and maintain high customer satisfaction.

You will leverage your technical background in power systems and proven sales experience to identify opportunities, conduct calls and site visits, and build long-term customer relationships across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical disciplines or similar.
• Proven experience in sales, sales support, and/or service of power systems/solutions.
• Experience with electric substation equipment (IED, RTU, SCADA, Communications) and client-facing sales is highly preferred.
• Willingness to travel to meet customers.

Responsibilities

• Implement the service sales strategy and growth plans, engaging with the installed base to promote upgrades and value-added solutions.
• Use installed base data to identify and develop sales opportunities for the full Hitachi Energy Service portfolio.
• Conduct sales calls, facility walk-throughs, generate leads, and develop new market opportunities.
• Establish long-term customer relationships and understand their requirements, regulations, and safety considerations.
• Sell service product portfolio, monitor tenders, prepare offerings, and manage the sales process.
• Act as marketer/salesperson during marketing activities, translating customer needs into service offerings.
• Provide data-driven insights on markets and effective service selling tactics to management.
