Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Graduate Process Engineer to join the Water team in Cambridge. You will work on water and wastewater projects, developing process diagrams, mass balances, and sizing calculations as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team.

The role offers hybrid work, opportunities to grow toward Chartered Engineer status, and exposure to innovative water treatment technologies across a global infrastructure firm.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Aspiration to become Chartered Engineer (IChemE or CIWEM) preferred.
• Good report writing and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel for projects is desirable.
• Familiarity with CAD tools and design software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare process flow diagrams and mass balances for water projects.
• Develop and size unit operations, with design constraints.
• Conduct asset surveys and site visits as required.
• Perform feasibility studies and optioneering for wastewater processes.
• Assist in technical meetings and coordinate with clients and team members.
