A dedicated educational organization in Thatcham is seeking a Mental Health Teaching Assistant to support children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Needs. The role involves providing 1:1 support, running engaging lessons, and working alongside mental health professionals. Ideal candidates are graduates with degrees in Psychology, Criminology, or Health & Social Care, possessing a proactive attitude and understanding of mental health. The position offers a salary of £85 - £95 per day with hours from Mon-Fri, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

An inclusive and diverse Specialist School is looking for a Mental Health Teaching Assistant to help support and encourage children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs through the school day. The pupils have a variety of difficulties, including but not limited to anxiety, learning difficulties, trauma, ASD, ADHD, OCD and behavioural challenges. The perfect candidate will therefore be proactive, understanding and ready for a challenge.
The role is full-time starting ASAP but the school have said they can be flexible if the perfect candidate came along. Graduates who have qualified in Psychology, Criminology or Health & Social Care would be perfect for this - a general understanding of welfare and mental health would be beneficial. This is also a unique opportunity to work alongside the Psychologist and Therapist based on-site at the school.
