Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer in Newport to join the Mechanical Team. You will support multi-disciplinary projects, work in-office or on-site during delivery and commissioning, and have the chance to grow through a structured Early Careers Programme.

You’ll develop technical design skills, perform calculations, liaise with suppliers, and contribute to safety and commissioning plans as you progress toward Chartered status.

Qualifications

• Graduated or due to graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng) or MSc.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated organisational skills and motivation to learn.

Responsibilities

• Work within a team to deliver engineering projects from concept to client hand-back.
• Carry out engineering calculations and use digital techniques to produce designs.
• Liaise with Sub-Contractors & Suppliers and approve drawings.
• Oversee Sub-Contractors & Suppliers on site and contribute to safety documentation.
