Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley seeks a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join the Mechanical Team. You’ll support multi-disciplinary project delivery, contribute to design and on-site activities, and work toward Chartered status within a supportive, development-focused environment.

Based in an office in Glasgow, you’ll progress through our Early Careers Development Programme, handling calculations, liaising with suppliers, and helping maintain safety and commissioning plans across project phases.

Qualifications

• Graduated or due to graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng) or a post graduate qualification (MSc).
• Valid driving licence.
• Confidence, motivation, plus the ability to hand multiple tasks and problem-solve.
• Strong organisational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Work within a team to deliver engineering projects from initial concept, through detailed design, procurement and construction to client hand back.
• Undertake engineering calculation and utilise digital techniques to produce the design.
• Liaise with Sub-Contractors & Suppliers.
• Approve Drawings and Designs of Suppliers.
• Oversee the activity of Sub-Contractors & Suppliers on Site.
• Assist with maintaining our world class safety culture of our critical designs, health & safety documentation, O&M manuals, and commissioning plans.
