Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to support the Mechanical Team in delivering multi-disciplinary projects. You’ll be based in the office on Mechanical design work, with on-site support during delivery and commissioning depending on project phase.

A supportive team will help you develop your skills and progress. Your role includes delivering projects from concept to hand back, performing calculations using digital methods, and liaising with Sub-Contractors & Suppliers.

Qualifications

• Graduate with Mechanical Engineering degree (BEng) or MSc.
• Valid driving licence.
• Strong organisation, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engineering projects from concept through detailed design, procurement and construction to client hand back.
• Undertake engineering calculation and use digital techniques to produce designs.
• Liaise with Sub-Contractors & Suppliers.
• Approve drawings and designs of Suppliers.
• Oversee activity of Sub-Contractors & Suppliers on site.
• Assist with maintaining safety culture, health & safety documentation, O&M manuals and commissioning plans.
