Job summary

A recruitment agency is looking for a Graduate/ Junior Site Engineer to support senior engineers on projects in Dundalk / Newry / Belfast. The role requires a degree in Engineering and setting out experience. Responsibilities include checking and setting out works, liaising with subcontractors, and maintaining supervision standards. Ideal for candidates with placement experience in an engineering role.

About the Company

Currently recruiting for a number of Top Tier Main Contractors in Leinster who require junior engineers to support senior engineers and site managers on site that come form an engineering degree or construction management (or similar). Salary will be dependent on the individual and any placement/ post grad experience.

The Role
  • Setting out and checking works as required for the project and ensuring all works are completed in line with project drawings specifications and building regulations.
  • Liaise with sub-contractors and personnel on site in in the planning and construction of the project.
  • Support the Project Manager/ Contracts Manager/ Senior Engineer to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors and site personnel.
  • Use and be responsible for setting out equipment.
Requirements
  • A Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 1 year placement experience in an engineering role or post graduate.
  • Ability to use setting out instruments is essential and being competent in all aspects of set out, survey & level, temporary works co-ordination.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint.
