Would you like a role where you can learn ERP, SQL, reporting, and manufacturing systems from the ground up?

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate to join a well-established organisation and play a key role in supporting and improving its internal IT and systems environment.

The role

This is a broad, hands-on position combining IT support, systems analysis, reporting, and process improvement. You will work closely with office staff, production teams, and senior management to ensure systems run smoothly and are continuously improved.

  • Managing user accounts and system access

  • Installing, updating, and maintaining software

  • Supporting production-related IT and factory systems

  • Maintaining IT asset records and basic documentation

Alongside general IT support, you will also be involved in systems, data, and reporting work, including:

  • Developing a strong understanding of the organisation's ERP and MRP systems

  • Supporting and optimising workflows relating to works orders, sales orders, and purchase orders

  • Updating and maintaining accurate Bills of Materials

  • Improving data integrity across systems

  • Analysing factory and operational workflows and supporting process improvements

  • Creating SQL queries for internal reporting and dashboards

  • Supporting management reporting and operational analysis

  • Developing simple tools, scripts, or automations to improve efficiency

  • Working with backend databases to support reporting and system functionality

  • Liaising with external IT and software support partners when required

  • Meeting with software providers to assess new systems and technical feasibility

  • Providing system training and support to users across the business, including senior management

  • Contributing ideas around best practice and future system improvements

What they are looking for

This role would suit a graduate or early-career candidate with a strong interest in IT systems, data, and how technology supports operations.

You may have experience in some (not all) of the following:

  • An IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data, or Engineering-related degree

  • Strong general IT knowledge (hardware, software, Windows environments)

  • SQL knowledge (queries, joins, basic reporting)

  • Experience with reporting or data analysis tools (for example Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar)

  • Exposure to databases and structured data

  • A logical, problem‑solving mindset

  • Confidence communicating with non‑technical users

  • Interest in ERP, MRP, or manufacturing systems (training will be provided)

Desirable but not essential

  • Any exposure to legacy reporting tools such as Crystal Reports

  • Basic scripting or automation experience (for example Python, VBA, PowerShell)

  • Experience gained through placement years, internships, or projects

Why this role is appealing

  • Hands‑on exposure to real‑world ERP and manufacturing systems

  • Opportunity to develop SQL, reporting, and systems skills

  • Broad role with visibility across the entire business

  • Direct interaction with senior stakeholders

  • Long‑term progression into systems, data, or ERP‑focused roles
