Job summary

Stantec invites applications for its 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Geo-Environmental / Geo-Technical Engineer in Cardiff or Bristol. You will work within the Environmental Services team on diverse projects across renewables, defence, commercial and residential developments, balancing fieldwork with consultancy.

You’ll receive strong support from colleagues and mentors, with a clear progression plan toward chartership in organisations such as The Geological Society, ICE, IES or CIWEM.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Earth Sciences, or Environmental Science accredited by a relevant professional body.
• Desire to learn and collaborate across multiple disciplines within an integrated project team.
• Commitment to pursuing professional chartership through recognised bodies.

Responsibilities

• Design, scope, and manage site investigations including on-site supervision and sampling.
• Analyse field data and prepare factual and interpretive reports.
• Conduct geo-environmental and geotechnical risk assessments to support development and remediation.
• Provide expert geo advice across design, planning and construction phases.
