Job summary

Stantec in the UK is inviting applications for a Graduate Geo-Environmental / Geo-Technical Engineer in Exeter, Bristol or Taunton. You will join our Environmental Services team and work on ground investigations, risk assessments, and design delivery across UK projects.

The programme supports professional chartership (CGeol, CEng, CSci, CIWEM) and offers a structured progression, exposure to infrastructure, water, energy, and brownfield developments within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Earth Sciences, or Environmental Science, accredited by a professional body.
• Unconditional right to live and work in the UK for an indefinite period.

Responsibilities

• Analyse geological, geo-environmental, and geotechnical data.
• Deliver ground investigations and support EIAs.
• Assess foundations, slope stability, and earthworks; create ground models.
• Conduct contaminated land risk assessments and remediation strategies.
• Monitor fieldworks and design/report on foundations, retaining walls, soil slope stability, earthworks, and rock slope stabilization.
• Use numerical analysis software and collaborate on multidisciplinary design and construction projects.
