Job summary

Stantec invites graduates to join its 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Geo-Environmental / Geo-Technical Engineer in Cambridge, joining the Environmental Services team to work on UK projects across Infrastructure, Water, and Energy.

You will gain hands-on experience from site investigation through design and construction, supported by a structured progression plan towards chartership (CGeol, CEng, CSci, or CEnv) with the Geological Society, ICE, and others.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field from an accredited body.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Willing to join Cambridge office four days a week.

Responsibilities

• Analysing geological, geo‑environmental, and geotechnical data.
• Delivering ground investigations and supporting EIAs.
• Assessing foundations, slope stability, and earthworks, and creating ground models.
• Conducting contaminated land risk assessments and developing remediation strategies.
• Monitoring fieldworks and designing/reporting on foundations, retaining walls, soil slope stability, earthworks, and rock slope stabilization.
• Utilising numerical analysis software and collaborating with other technical experts on multidisciplinary design and construction projects.
