Job summary

Arup, a global consultancy, offers graduate opportunities across engineering, geology and earth sciences. You may work on ground investigations, modelling complex ground conditions, and designing foundations, earthworks and tunnels across water, energy, rail and highways projects.

You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering Total Design, with strong written and verbal communication throughout all project stages, from optioneering to detailed design.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or Bachelor’s level (Master’s preferred) in Ground Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology or Earth Sciences.
• Full working rights in the UK and no more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role.
• Recently graduated or on track to graduate before employment starts, in related field.

Responsibilities

• Assess site constraints, geological hazards and ground conditions to shape projects at early stages.
• Analyse ground investigation data to derive ground models and design parameters.
• Represent Arup on site during ground investigations, earthworks and other construction activities.
• Deliver Total Design by collaborating with other disciplines for integrated solutions.
• Communicate clearly (written and verbal) throughout all project stages from optioneering to detailed design.
