Job summary

Arup is a global consultancy hiring graduates for ground engineering roles in Newcastle. You will investigate and model ground conditions, design foundations, earthworks and tunnels, and remediate land impacted by historic uses. The programme offers exposure to water, energy, rail and highways projects across markets.

You will start with assessments, data analysis and field representation, with a focus on total design and collaborative solutions driving sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Copy of academic transcript required.
• Full working rights in the UK.
• No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role.
• Recently graduated, or on track to graduate, from your most recent degree, before employment starts.

Responsibilities

• Assessing site constraints, geological hazards and ground conditions to help shape projects at their early stages.
• Analysing ground investigation data to derive ground models and parameters for use in design.
• Representing Arup on site during ground investigations, earthworks and other construction activities.
• Delivering Total Design by working closely with other disciplines to provide integrated project solutions.
• Written and verbal communication during all stages of projects, from initial optioneering through to detailed design.
