Job summary

Arup invites graduates in Ground Engineering to join our multidisciplinary team in Newcastle, working on investigations, modelling, foundations, earthworks and tunnels. You will contribute to design strategies across water, energy, rail and highways projects, collaborating with multiple disciplines for integrated solutions.

We seek candidates with an undergraduate or bachelor’s level degree (Master’s preferred) in Ground Engineering, Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate/Bachelors in Ground Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology or Earth Sciences (Master’s preferred).
• Full working rights in the country of application.
• No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role.
• Recently graduated or on track to graduate before employment starts.

Responsibilities

• Assessing site constraints, geological hazards and ground conditions to shape early-stage projects.
• Analysing ground investigation data to derive ground models and parameters for use in design.
• Representing Arup on site during ground investigations, earthworks and other construction activities.
• Delivering Total Design by working with other disciplines for integrated solutions.
• Written and verbal communication during all stages from optioneering to detailed design.
