Stantec invites graduates to join its 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Geo-Environmental / Geo-Techn ical Engineer in the Edinburgh office, joining a multidisciplinary Environmental Services team. The role balances fieldwork with office-based consultancy across renewables, defence, commercial and residential developments.

You will benefit from structured progression toward professional chartership (CGeol, CEng, CSci, or CEnv) with senior leaders, and collaborate with teams across Civils,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Earth Sciences, or Environmental Science (accredited by a relevant body).

Responsibilities

• Designing, scoping, and managing site investigations, including on-site supervision and environmental sampling.
• Analysing field data and authoring factual and interpretative reports.
• Conducting geo-environmental and geotechnical risk assessments to support site development.
• Providing expert geo advice throughout design, planning, and construction phases.
