Stantec invites graduates to join its 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Geo-Environmental / Geo-Technical Engineer based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. You’ll be part of the Environmental Services team, delivering ground engineering projects across the UK from investigation to design and construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Earth Sciences, or Environmental Science (accredited).
• Eligibility to pursue professional chartership with relevant bodies (GSL, ICE, IES, CIWEM, IOM3).
• Must have unconditional right to live and work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Analyze geological, geo-environmental, and geotechnical data.
• Deliver ground investigations and support EIAs.
• Assess foundations, slope stability, and earthworks; create ground models.
• Conduct contaminated land risk assessments and remediation strategies.
• Monitor fieldworks and design/report on foundations, retaining walls, soil slope stability, earthworks, and rock slope stabilization.
• Utilize numerical analysis software and collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams.
