Job summary

AECOM is seeking Graduate Electrical Engineers to join our Water teams across the North and Midlands. Based in Birmingham, Chesterfield, Leeds or Manchester, you’ll enjoy a flexible hybrid working model while delivering design excellence on water treatment projects for major UK clients.

You’ll contribute to feasibility through to construction design, develop electrical designs, diagrams and specs, and grow professionally through our ADVANCE programme and extensive learning resources.

Qualifications

• MEng in Electrical Engineering preferred; professional registration pursued.
• Relevant work experience in water/wastewater projects is advantageous.
• Enthusiastic, driven, and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design activities for water and wastewater projects.
• Produce power supply capacity assessments and load calculations.
• Create electrical single line diagrams and cable block diagrams.
• Prepare cable calculations and cable schedules.
• Draft lighting design specifications and MCC/Control Panel specs.
• Produce electrical specification documents and ICA scope.
• Utilise Amtech and Electrical OM software in design work.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients and contractors; report progress.
