Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer in the United Kingdom to design electrical systems for critical infrastructure. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, develop practical solutions, and progress toward professional accreditation while gaining exposure to CAD, BIM, and digital modelling tools.

You will join a broad practice across water, energy, power, and industrial sectors, with opportunities for site visits and real project experience from day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in a relevant engineering field with 2:1 or better.
• IET accreditation or equivalent is preferred.
• Good understanding of CAD and BIM; exposure to 3D design tools is beneficial.
• Some coding experience is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing electrical systems for infrastructure projects.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams across water, energy, and industrial sectors.
• Prepare specifications, BIM/digital models, and technical reports.
• Gain professional accreditation through project experience and mentoring.
