Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Infrastructure Electrical Engineer to join the Energy, Water & Resources sector in the UK. You will contribute to electrical design across water and energy projects, supporting equipment selection, instrumentation and control integration, and collaboration with process and mechanical engineers.

This early-career role focuses on professional development, accreditation support, and exposure to a broad range of projects from renewables to decarbonisation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:1 in a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering or similar.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities are essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design of electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment works as part of a graduate team.
• Support power distribution, motor control centres, cable systems, earthing and lighting designs through calculations and equipment selection under guidance.
• Assist in the specification and integration of instrumentation and control systems.
• Collaborate with process and mechanical engineers to ensure treatment processes can be monitored and controlled effectively.
• Contribute to design packages from concept through to detailed design.

2:1 degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
