Job summary

Arup is recruiting Graduate Electrical Engineers to join multi-disciplinary design teams across the UK. An IET accredited training scheme supports you toward professional status, with extensive training and development opportunities and a strong support network within a collaborative environment.

We welcome candidates with an Undergraduate/Bachelor’s in Electrical or Architectural Engineering, who can demonstrate proficiency in Excel/Word and a basic knowledge of building services.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate/Bachelor’s level in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, Mechatronics / Robotics Engineering with proficiency in Excel and Word, plus basic knowledge of building services.
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting, fire detection, earthing and lightning protection systems for buildings.
• Conduct short circuit, overcurrent coordination and maximum demand studies.
• Perform lighting photometric modelling.
• Prepare technical reports and electrical calculations.
• Work in 3D using Revit MEP and collaborate with Architects, Fire Engineers & other disciplines.
• Develop reports and electrical calculations and support design development.
