Job summary

Stantec is recruiting a Graduate Civil Engineer for its High Wycombe office as part of the 2027 Graduate Programme. You will contribute to water and infrastructure projects from day one, supporting local and national work.

You will join a Civils team, gain hands-on experience across design, delivery, and site visits, with guidance from senior engineers and opportunities to develop software skills. The programme offers a clear career path toward professional chartership with ICE and a supportive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Adaptability to work on varied tasks and deadlines.
• Collaborative mindset and problem-solving approach.
• Ability to learn quickly and contribute to civil design tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support the civil engineering team across a wide range of project stages and sectors.
• Produce engineering calculations, drawings and technical documentation.
• Contribute to civil design work from concept and planning through to tender, construction and early operation.
• Attend project and design meetings, contributing ideas and learning from experienced colleagues.
• Take opportunities to visit construction sites and build practical understanding of design delivery.
• Develop technical capability by learning a variety of civil engineering software and design approaches.
