Job summary

Stantec in Bristol is offering a 2027 Graduate Programme for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join a local civil design team delivering water projects across the South West and nationally.

You will work with hydraulic modellers and CAD technicians from concept through detailed design and construction, supported by senior engineers, with a clear path toward ICE chartership and professional progression.

Qualifications

• Graduate Civil Engineer with an interest in water infrastructure and civil design.
• Willing to work on local South West projects and national assignments.
• Ability to collaborate with hydraulic modellers and CAD technicians.

Responsibilities

• Support a civil design team to solve client problems.
• Complete calculations, reports, design sketches and presentations.
• Support from concept through detailed design and construction.
• Assist with technical site visits and gain practical delivery insight.
• Coordinate design work with multidisciplinary teams (MEP, structural, hydraulics).
• Collaborate with hydraulic modellers and CAD technicians to turn ideas into solutions.
• Develop technical capability and understanding of the water sector through project work, mentoring and training.
