Goods In Operative

Location: Letchworth

Pay: £12.50 to £13.50 per hour depending on experience

Shifts: Weekly rotating shifts: 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm

Contract: Temp to perm, full time

About the Role

We are recruiting for a Goods In Operative to join a busy printing company in Letchworth. This is a temp to perm role offering long term stability for the right person. It suits someone who has worked in goods in, warehouse operations, materials handling or a similar stores or logistics environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Receive deliveries and check goods against paperwork
  • Accurately book stock into the system
  • Move materials to the correct departments
  • Work with production and warehouse teams to support daily requirements
  • Keep the goods in area organised and safe
  • Operate a counterbalance forklift if you have the licence
  • Carry out general warehouse and stores tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in a goods in or warehouse operative role is essential
  • Good attention to detail when checking stock
  • Comfortable using basic computer systems for booking in stock
  • Counterbalance forklift experience is helpful but not essential
  • Reliable, positive and able to work well within a small team
  • Happy working on rotating early and late shifts
