Job summary

MBDA in Bolton is seeking a procurement professional to manage critical supplier subcontracts and relationships. You will lead the preparation, negotiation, and implementation of subcontracts across their life cycle, ensuring time, cost, and quality targets are met.

The role requires 3–5 years working with UK and international suppliers, and you will provide commercial guidance to internal customers while safeguarding MBDA's interests. Some on-site work is expected in the initial period.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience working with UK and/or international suppliers in a procurement role.
• Experience protecting the employer's commercial position.
• Degree in business discipline or procurement accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute subcontracts with suppliers across the life cycle.
• Oversee subcontract amendments to ensure compliance with contracting standards.
• Undertake performance management to ensure supplier delivery aligns with obligations.
• Develop strong supplier relationships within UK, Europe and worldwide.
• Regularly visit supplier premises and chair subcontract progress meetings as needed.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks related to assigned suppliers.
• Obtain quotations and critical intelligence to support MBDA bids.
