Job summary

Manufacturing in Portsmouth is seeking a Service Coordinator to manage end-to-end service processes, coordinate engineers worldwide, and act as the main contact for service requests.

This office-based role requires a technical degree, strong communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving to deliver high-quality after-sales support. You will work with Sales, Engineering, and Product teams to introduce support services for new products and maintain records.

Qualifications

• Degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent technical qualification in electrical/electronic engineering, computer systems, information technology, marine engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Strong interest in electrical and electronic engineering, computer systems and technology, with commitment to expanding knowledge.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and product specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Proactive, customer-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Managing end-to-end service process from initial contact to order acceptance, service delivery, and job closure.
• Coordinating engineers worldwide to install, repair, and support products.
• Acting as primary contact for incoming service requests, fault identification and logging.
• Providing customers with accurate updates on service activities and completed work.
• Collaborating with Sales, Engineering and Product teams to introduce support services for new products.
• Maintaining high-quality after-sales support and strong customer relationships in UK and international markets.
• Supporting implementation of procedures to ensure accurate recording and effective management of departmental activities.
