Job summary

GM Performance Power Units is seeking a Payroll Analyst to lead end-to-end payroll processing across US & UK. You will partner with Human Resources to ensure accurate payroll operations, stay compliant with regulations, and support audits and reporting.

The role requires strong Excel skills, Dayforce HCM experience, and a focus on accuracy and timelines. You will manage timekeeping, compensation, and year-end activities while contributing to process improvements and policy updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or related field.
• 3+ years payroll experience in a fast-paced environment.
• 3+ years of payroll processing experience in handling multi-state payroll and compliance reporting.
• 3+ years experience supporting US payroll operations and payroll compliance requirements.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Dayforce HCM and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience performing payroll audits, reconciliations, and payroll compliance reviews.
• Experience supporting hourly non-exempt workforce timekeeping administration.
• CPP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer bi-weekly, monthly, and off cycle payrolls for salaried and hourly employees across GMPPU (US & UK).
• Ensure compliance with US federal and state payroll regulations, international pay practices, and company policies.
• Coordinate with Human Resources for payroll deadlines, auditing, retroactive adjustments, and off-cycle payments.
• Maintain relationships with payroll vendors and ensure accurate payroll reporting.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Support payroll system configuration updates in Dayforce HCM (or applicable platform).
• Adhere to auditing procedures to ensure accuracy for each payroll cycle and state tax allocations.
