Job summary

GM Performance Power Units is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join its Human Resources team in the UK. The role manages end-to-end payroll for US and UK staff, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance across multiple pay cycles.

You will collaborate with HR to meet deadlines, perform audits, and support payroll systems updates using Dayforce HCM. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with multi-state payroll and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll experience in a fast-paced environment.
• 3+ years of payroll processing experience in handling multi-state payroll and compliance reporting.
• 3+ years experience supporting US payroll operations and payroll compliance requirements.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with Dayforce HCM and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience performing payroll audits, reconciliations, and payroll compliance reviews.
• Experience supporting hourly non-exempt workforce timekeeping administration.

Responsibilities

• Administer bi-weekly, monthly, and off cycle payrolls for salaried and hourly employees across GMPPU (US & UK).
• Ensure compliance with US federal and state payroll regulations, international pay practices, and company policies.
• Coordinate with HR for payroll deadlines, auditing, retroactive adjustments, and off-cycle payments.
• Maintain relationships with payroll vendors and ensure accurate payroll reporting (earnings statements, tax filings, wage garnishments).
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and assist employees with inquiries in a timely manner.
