Job summary

GM Performance Power Units is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join our Human Resources team. You will manage end-to-end payroll for US and UK employees, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with HR to support compensation, timekeeping, and reporting processes.

You will drive payroll accuracy, handle audits, and implement continuous improvements across processes while leveraging Dayforce HCM and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or related field.
• 3+ years of payroll experience in a fast-paced environment.
• 3+ years of multi-state payroll processing & compliance reporting.
• 3+ years supporting US payroll operations & compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with Dayforce HCM and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Administer bi-weekly, monthly, and off-cycle payrolls for salaried and hourly employees across GMPPU (US & UK).
• Ensure compliance with US federal and state payroll regulations, international pay practices, and company policies.
• Coordinate with HR for payroll deadlines, auditing, retroactive adjustments, and off-cycle payments.
• Maintain relationships with payroll vendors and ensure accurate payroll reporting (earnings statements, tax filings, wage garnishments).
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
• Support payroll system configuration updates in Dayforce HCM (or applicable platform).
• Adhere to auditing procedures to ensure accuracy for each payroll cycle and state tax allocations.
