Confidential, based in Manchester, is seeking an Ocean Freight Coordinator to support Sea Freight Operations. You will handle export and cross-trade activities, ensure timely paperwork, and maintain customer relationships while contributing to efficiency improvements.

Ideal candidates will have proven sea export freight forwarding experience, strong IT skills (MS Office), and excellent communication. The role offers a structured environment, 20 days leave plus holidays, pension contributions,

Qualifications

• Proven Sea Export Freight Forwarding experience.
• Strong IT skills including MS Office and Excel reporting.
• Excellent communication skills over the phone and e-mail.

Responsibilities

• Understand and execute the department's vision for Sea Freight operations.
• Complete Export and Cross Trade activities including invoicing.
• Complete all customs export declaration forms.
• Ensure all operational activities are completed on time.
• Report amendments to customs declarations to line manager.
• Maintain and utilise the operational system.
• Maintain regular communication with line manager and sales team.
• Maintain SOPs for the department.
• Maintain excellent customer and inter-department relationships.
• Follow up late customer payments with credit control.
• Record quotations and ensure consistency in system.
• Implement efficiencies in customer workflows with line manager.
• Complete invoicing for exports within 48 hours of activity.
• Ensure insurance charges and claims are handled promptly.
