Geo-Environmental Engineer sought at an award-winning Medium-sized Multidisciplinary Consultancy. This role is based in Birmingham.

Overview

Our client is a reputable, award-winning multidisciplinary engineering consultancy offering civil, structural, geo-environmental and geotechnical services across the country. They take pride in their agility and innovation, coupled with extensive experience gained over many years delivering a range projects across multiple sectors.

You will be joining their growing Geo-Environmental team in Longbridge, where you'll work on a variety of challenging and interesting projects from due diligence and ground investigation through construction, to completion, across a range of sectors. With the support of senior colleagues, you'll be involved in the production of ground investigation reports, remediation strategies, earthworks specifications, and validation reports.

You will be joining a vibrant and supportive, equal opportunities employer, who offer flexibility and career progression to their engineers. Their appraisal system and training will help you underpin your progression and provide you the skills to undertake the role, and you'll also receive mentoring and support to work toward chartered status.

Requirements

  • Ideally a geology or earth science degree (2:1 or above)
  • 1 - 4 years' background in ground investigation, environmental monitoring or relevant work would be beneficial
  • Good communication skills
  • Ambitious to learn and progress your career
  • An interest in contaminated land or ground engineering
  • A problem solver, with the ability to work collaboratively with other team members
  • Good record keeping, analytical thinking and writing skills would be beneficial
