Job summary

Military Medical Personnel is recruiting a Locum Doctor (General Practitioner) to cover a Ministry of Defence assignment at RAF Lossiemouth Medical Centre in Lossiemouth, Morayshire. The role is 24 hours per week and aims to deliver an exceptional standard of care to MoD personnel.

The locum role is on-site with responsibilities including PHC clinics for military personnel, OH fitness-for-work assessments, and compliant reporting per MOD policy. UK registration and GMC requirements are essential.

Job summary

We are looking for a Locum Doctor (General Practitioner) to cover an assignment with the Ministry of Defence (MoD), at RAF Lossiemouth Medical Centre, in Lossiemouth, Morayshire.

This is a locum role (24 hours per week) and the successful candidate will deliver an exceptional standard of care to the MoD service personnel.

Hourly Rate

£69.12 per hour

Job Description

• Undertake Primary Healthcare (PHC) clinics for Military and entitled personnel.
• Examinations and Occupational Health (OH) fitness for work assessments within the locum doctors scope of experience and qualification.
• To inform the local medical authority of any case that may affect a servicepersons ability to undertake their duties.
• To complete reports and documentation in accordance with MOD policy or the requirements of any other government department.
• To attend individual management reviews or case conferences with Primary Healthcare (PHC) and/or line management as required.

Essential requirements / Qualifications / Experience

• Registration with the General Medical Council both on the main register and on the General Medical Council (GMC) GP Register without Restrictions.
• Must have a current, satisfactory in date annual appraisal in line with the requirements of the General Medical Councils (GMCs) Good Medical Practice (GMP).
• Must be in date and able to provide certification for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Safeguarding Adults up to and including Level 3 training.
• Must be on the UK NHS Performers List and provide an NHS Performer number.
