Job summary

This locum GP post covers a 23-week assignment with the Ministry of Defence at RAF Lossiemouth Medical Centre, booked through Military Medical Personnel. It focuses on primary healthcare clinics for military personnel, plus occupational health examinations and fitness-for-work assessments.

The role runs 24 hours a week and requires GMC GP registration without restrictions, NHS Performers List, and PVG or Access NI clearance. The agency cannot sponsor visas.

Qualifications

• GMC registration on the main GP Register without restrictions.
• Entry on the UK NHS Performers List with a performer number.
• PVG membership or Access NI certificate.
• Existing right to work in the UK with no restrictions on hours.
• Current, satisfactory annual appraisal under GMC Good Medical Practice.

Responsibilities

• Run primary healthcare clinics for military and entitled personnel.
• Carry out examinations and occupational health fitness-for-work assessments within own scope and qualifications.
• Inform the local medical authority of any case that may affect a serviceperson's ability to do their duties.
• Complete reports and documentation under MoD policy or the requirements of other government departments.
• Attend individual management reviews or case conferences with primary healthcare and/or line management as required.
