Job summary

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking a Locum Doctor (General Practitioner) with MoD experience to cover a MOD assignment at Wellington Barracks Medical Centre, Westminster, London. The role involves PHC clinics for military personnel and OH fitness-for-work assessments within the GP's scope.

Applicants must be GMC registered, have current GMP-compliant appraisal, and up-to-date safeguarding training (Level 3). MOD experience and NHS Performer List are required or in-scope.

Qualifications

• Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) on the main register and GP Register.
• Must have a current, satisfactory in-date annual appraisal.
• Safeguarding Children and Young People and Safeguarding Adults Level 3 training must be in date.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for a Locum Doctor (General Practitioner) with MoD Experience to cover an assignment with the Ministry of Defence (MoD), at Wellington Barracks Medical Centre, in Westminster, London.

• Undertake Primary Healthcare (PHC) clinics for Military and entitled personnel.
• Examinations and Occupational Health (OH) fitness for work assessments within the locum doctors scope of experience and qualification.
• To inform the local medical authority of any case that may affect a servicepersons ability to undertake their duties.
• To complete reports and documentation in accordance with MOD policy or the requirements of any other government department.
• To attend individual management reviews or case conferences with Primary Healthcare (PHC) and/or line management as required.
  Registration with the General Medical Council both on the main register and on the General Medical Council (GMC) GP Register without Restrictions.
• Must have a current, satisfactory in date annual appraisal in line with the requirements of the General Medical Councils (GMCs) Good Medical Practice (GMP).
• Must be in date and able to provide certification for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Safeguarding Adults up to and including Level 3 training.
• Previous Ministry of Defence (MOD) Experience.
• Must be on the UK NHS Performers List and provide an NHS Performer number.
