Job summary

Military Medical Personnel is seeking a nine-week locum GP for Lichfield Medical Centre to serve military and entitled personnel in a primary care setting. You will perform occupational health fitness-for-work assessments and ensure timely reporting to the MoD and local authorities.

The role requires GMC registration without restrictions and an NHS Performers List entry, with MoD experience preferred. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• GMC registration on the main register and the GP Register without restrictions.
• Entry on the UK NHS Performers List with an NHS performer number.
• PVG membership (Disclosure Scotland) or Access Northern Ireland certificate.
• Current, satisfactory annual appraisal under GMC Good Medical Practice.
• Right to work in the UK with no restrictions on hours.
• Previous Ministry of Defence experience.

Responsibilities

• Undertake primary healthcare clinics for military and entitled personnel.
• Carry out occupational health fitness-for-work assessments within the locum's scope of experience and qualification.
• Inform the local medical authority of any case that may affect a serviceperson's ability to undertake their duties.
• Complete reports and documentation under MoD policy or the requirements of other government departments.
• Attend individual management reviews or case conferences with primary healthcare and/or line management as required.

Job description

Nine-week locum GP assignment at Lichfield Medical Centre, supplied by Military Medical Personnel for the Ministry of Defence.
